Stash Report Week #5

Another week has gone by and I didn't get a chance to sit at my machine.  I watched my youngest grandson during the day while his dad was at work. He was cranky all week as he is cutting teeth and only wanted to be held.  I did manage to decide what pattern I will be making for one of the Project Linus quilts that I will be making.  At guild we each got a bag with fabric in it.  The one I picked was called coral reef.  The four fabrics in the bag were: fish with coral, a lime green that matches the background of the fish, a teal blue and a dark blue that has a wavy pattern that looks like seaweed on it.  I have to use at least two of the fabrics and I can add up to three more.  The focus fabric is only 1-1/2 yards so I only need to make a kids quilt(36" x 36" up to 40" x 60").  If I have enough fabric I will make a 48" x 60" quilt.  I decided to make a disappearing 9 patch using 5" squares.  The one my daughter picked needs to be 48" x 60" or a 60" square up to a twin size quilt.  I have the odd feeling that I will be making hers too.  Hers is called the sound of music and the focus fabric has a navy/black background with all kinds of musical notes and stuff on it.  The fabrics that came with it are a 2+ yard piece of red, 3 yards of black and white stripe and 3/4 of a yard of red with small white hearts.  I will get some pictures tomorrow when the light is better in the house.
I bought some fabric to add to what we started with.  3-1/4 yards for DD's and 1-1/4 yards for the one I'm making.  I'll count all the fabric as going into my stash as she uses mine and doesn't have one yet.  It is supposed to be snowy tomorrow and I plan on working on ufo #5 and getting it to a flimsy so I can count it next week in the used category.
