What a Week!

It has been a crazy week here.  I haven't done much sewing but I'm working on some craft projects for the quilt guild show in October.  I've been trying to figure out what I could put in the boutique that would sell and no one else would make.  I finally came up with a few Christmas ornaments that I used to make as a teenager.  I finally found some directions and I picked up most of my supplies.  Hopefully on Monday I will be able to show some pictures of finished items. 
I got some bad news on Friday afternoon.  I had taken my car to a good friend who is a mechanic and had him look at my car.  It was leaking gas and DH doesn't do gas leaks.  Well he calls me back and tells me to find a new car.  Apparently the frame rusted out and the only thing holding it together was my trailer hitch.  I'm very lucky that it didn't fall apart when I was driving it.  So now DH and I are trying to decide whether to lease or buy a new vehicle.  I was thinking about just getting a decent used one.  DH isn't sure what he wants to do.  I want a new crossover type vehicle and he wants me to get another car.  We will have to figure this out soon as I don't want to be without a vehicle during the winter months.  

Stash Report

I have done some sewing but nothing that I can claim as it has already been counted.  Hopefully soon I will have something to show and add to my counts.  It has been very hot here in Pennellville and I limit my sewing time to the mornings when I can.  There have been power flickers in the afternoons and I don't like to have my machine on when they happen.
