Stash Report

Not much sewing going on here lately.  I have been watching my granddaughter while my daughter's babysitter was in the hospital.  She is home finally and looking forward to babysitting again.  Now, one of the future daughter-in-law's is staying with us while they look for an apartment.  I hope to get some sewing in this week as I miss the time at my machine.  It seems to be meditative and calming, something that I need with 2 little boys around.

I did meet up with a couple of the gals from my quilt guild and worked on some quilt of valor blocks.  I used some fabrics from my stash so I have something to report this week.

Used this Week:                    3.5 yards
Used year to Date:                 13.25 yards
Added this Week:                   0 yards
Added Year to Date:               13.0 yards
Net Used for 2012:                                .25 yards

April 1st ,2012

April 1st and I have finally started back on to my blog!  I need to start telling my children no.  It was a long month of March.  3 of the 6 grandchildren lived with me.  Too much stress.  I don't mind my granddaughter Gwyn, but the 2 boys when they are sick are a hand full.  Nicholas is 32 months and doesn't stop moving or talking until he grabs a quick nap(20 minutes) and then he runs for another 4 hours.  I wish I could bottle his energy and sell it.  The energy crises would be solved if we could do that with all kids.  Jareth is 10 almost 11 months old and he is going to be following in his big brother's foot steps I have the feeling.  Both boys had runny noses while they were here and their mom said that it was normal.  Now that they have gone home, guess who has a sinus infection from the grandchildren at least that is my doctor's guess.  We had a lot of fun, don't get me wrong but 3 families in a 3 bedroom house is a little snug.  I'm glad that it doesn't happen often.
DH helped DD start to move yesterday and he got banged up.  DD has decided to move in with boyfriend and her daughter.  I hope that Gwyn adjusts well to the situation.  It will be a few more weeks before DD gets everything out of my house.  Then I plan on painting and getting the floor done and moving into my sewing rooms.  I will have one room for the fabric and long arm and the other for my books, patterns, design walls and regular machines.  I hope to post pictures as I get things situated.
